A section of the Rocky Branch Trail is closed between Blue Ridge Road and I-440 due to a stream restoration project being administered by the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA). A detour is available utilizing trails through the NCMA park. View the Detour Map and Trail Closure.

Coaches and or team managers, any changes in field status beyond this point will be communicated to you through your league administrator.

April 28 is Code Green which indicates all field games and activities are on as scheduled. 

The Mountain Bike Trail at Forest Ridge Park is currently open.  Please contact the park office for more information at 919-996-5800.

Mountain Bike Trail status is affected by weather and trail conditions. Please only ride dry trails and respect wildlife and other users.

The playground at Buffaloe Road Athletic Park will remain open during nearby maintenance of the rubber surface. 

The Pope House Museum will be temporarily closed for Phase II of renovation beginning April 16.

Phase II of the renovation project includes updating mechanical systems, ductwork, and interior painting. We anticipate reopening in October 2025.

The playgrounds at Southgate Park will be closed starting Friday, April 25, to maintain the rubberized safety surface. 

Due to the rebuild of the Chestnut Hills electrical substation by Duke Energy, the tee box for hole 8 at the Cedar Hills Park disc golf course is currently within the construction area and inaccessible to park visitors.

The area is expected to remain closed until the end of 2025. Please play from hole 7 directly to hole 9.  A temporary disc golf hole is in place between holes 13 and 14 with the tee pad located near the comfort station.

The playground for ages 2-5 at John Chavis Memorial Park will be closed beginning Wednesday, April 16 to install shade structures.

The locker rooms at Jaycee Community Center will be closed from March 3 until the end of April. During this time, there will also be limited access to the bathrooms.

Raleigh Parks aquatic facilities may have limited capacities, hours of operation, or reduced amenities available due to staffing.
