The Pope House Museum is temporarily closed for Phase II of renovation.

Phase II of the renovation project includes updating mechanical systems, ductwork, and interior painting. We anticipate reopening in November 2025.

Due to construction, Caraleigh Park will be closed mid-July 2025 through Spring 2026. Learn more about the Caraleigh Park Improvements Project.

Due to construction, the Vallie Henderson Park will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 2, through late October. 

The Mountain Bike Trail at Forest Ridge Park is currently open.  Please contact the park office for more information at 919-996-5800.

Mountain Bike Trail status is affected by weather and trail conditions. Please only ride dry trails and respect wildlife and other users.

For emergencies while on the trail, call 9-1-1.

Field status is updated daily around 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and around 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Coaches and or team managers, any changes in field status beyond this point will be communicated to you through your league administrator.

September 17 is Code Yellow, which indicates all field games and activities are an onsite decision. 

We anticipate construction to begin in late June 2025 and take approximately 7 months to complete. During construction, a portion of the Border Trail at Durant Nature Preserve will be closed and there will be, at times, temporary single lane closures at the corner of Spottswood and Welborn Streets.

Raleigh Parks aquatic facilities may have limited capacities, hours of operation, or reduced amenities available due to staffing.

Please view each facility's webpage or call the facility before visiting for the most up-to-date information.

The carousel at Pullen Park will be closed for maintenance from Monday, Oct. 13, through Wednesday, Oct. 22.

The current dog park at Moore Square will be closing temporarily as we prepare for exciting improvements.

The existing temporary pop-up dog park will close on Aug. 31, and we anticipate our brand-new permanent dog park will open in its place in December 2025.
