Reedy Creek Trail Closure with Detour
Between Mile Marker 1.25 and 2Affected Date-A section of the Rocky Branch Trail is closed between Blue Ridge Road and I-440 due to a stream restoration project being administered by the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA). Forest Ridge Park Mountain Bike Trail Update
ClosedThe Mountain Bike Trail at Forest Ridge Park is currently closed. Please contact the park office for more information at 919-996-5800.
Mountain Bike Trail status is affected by weather and trail conditions. Please only ride dry trails and respect wildlife and other users.
For emergencies while on the trail, call 9-1-1.

The Pope House Museum is temporarily closed for Phase II of renovation.
Phase II of the renovation project includes updating mechanical systems, ductwork, and interior painting. We anticipate reopening in October 2025.

Cedar Hills Park Disc Golf Course Impact
Affected Date-Due to the rebuild of the Chestnut Hills electrical substation by Duke Energy, the tee box for hole 8 at the Cedar Hills Park disc golf course is currently within the construction area and inaccessible to park visitors.
The area is expected to remain closed until the end of 2025. Please play from hole 7 directly to hole 9. A temporary disc golf hole is in place between holes 13 and 14 with the tee pad located near the comfort station.

Glenbrook Drive and Dacian Road Construction
Affected Date-Construction will begin March 2025. We will then do tree removal, erosion control, and tree and construction fencing installation. Road closures are going to impact the community, but traffic detours will be posted. The duration of the construction is approximately 10 months which puts the completion in early 2026.

City-Wide Lining and Construction
Stormwater Pipe Rehabilitation and RepairAffected Date-Raleigh Stormwater is repairing eight locations of stormwater pipes and drainage issues. Six of those locations are stormwater system repair projects and two locations are drainage assistance projects. Visit the City-Wide Lining project website for a list of the locations and design details.
Work hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no work scheduled on the weekend, except in an emergency or with prior approval from the City. Residents will be notified if such schedule changes need to take place. We do not anticipate needing to close the road to through traffic.
We anticipate some flagging and light traffic control for operations primarily related to the liner delivery and installation. Local traffic (residents within the work zone) will have access to their driveways and will be able to come and go as needed. Please don’t park on the street within and near the construction area for the duration of construction.
