Neuse River Trail Closure

A section of the Neuse River Trail, just north of the Skycrest Pedestrian Bridge (Structure 244) to River Bend Park, will be closed for a sewer improvement project. The project will begin in early March 2026 and will be completed by late 2027.  As part of the Upper West Neuse Interceptor project, approximately 11,400 linear feet of existing 48-inch sewer along the western side of the Neuse River from Beaverdam Creek to north of I-540 will be replaced. A trail detour is not available during this closure.
