A section of the Neuse River Trail, just north of the Skycrest Pedestrian Bridge (Structure 244) to River Bend Park, is closed for a sewer improvement project. Additionally, the access points to the trail at Buffaloe Road Athletic Park and River Bend Park are closed. As part of the Upper West Neuse Interceptor project, approximately 11,400 linear feet of existing 48-inch sewer along the western side of the Neuse River from Beaverdam Creek to north of I-540 will be replaced.
