Due to striping, the parking lots at Halifax Park and Jaycee Park will have limited access on Friday, June 19.

The dog park at Moore Square is temporarily closed as we prepare for exciting improvements.

The temporary pop-up dog park closed in August 2025, and we anticipate our brand-new permanent dog park will open in its place in Summer 2026.

The pickleball courts at Sanderford Road Park will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 2.

Due to a mechanical issue, the splash pad at Lake Johnson Pool is currently closed. The main pool and wading pool are open.

We began construction in June 2025 and plan for it to be completed in July 2026. During construction, a portion of the Border Trail at Durant Nature Preserve will be closed and there will be, at times, temporary single lane closures at the corner of Spottswood and Welborn Streets.

Raleigh Parks aquatic facilities may have limited capacities, hours of operation, or reduced amenities available due to staffing.

Please view each facility's webpage or call the facility before visiting for the most up-to-date information.

Due to renovations, the playground at Eastgate Park will be closed from June 1 through June 24.

Please visit one of our other playgrounds.

The City is restoring three (3) streams and adding wetlands in Worthdale Park. Construction is expected to begin in September 2025 and be completed in June 2026.

During on-site work hours, there may be elevated noise or vibrations. The park and Community Center will remain open during construction. Fencing will be placed around the construction area, restricting access to the public. Some parking spots will be used for construction equipment and materials.
