Why is Sertoma Arts Center Closing? What is the project timeline? What will happen to programming during this time? Will you continue to offer studio memberships during the closure? Still have questions?

Sertoma Arts Center will be undergoing a renovation and expansion starting in June 2026. This project is part of the 2022 Parks Bond.

The expanded space and renovation are essential to better serve our growing creative community. We also understand that the temporary closure will be challenging. Sertoma staff are here to support you, answer questions, and share updates throughout the process.

Why is Sertoma Arts Center Closing?

Sertoma was overdue for renovations, especially to increase accessibility to the Center. This construction project will address the current center's limitations and prepare for future needs by including:

  • Expanded and updated studio spaces for ceramics, painting, jewelry, and fiber arts as well as an updated youth studio.
  • Additional gallery and multi-purpose space.
  • Improved site accessibility and general building upgrades.
  • Leveraging the park setting by increasing connections to the outdoors, bringing nature into the center.

What is the project timeline?

Sertoma Arts Center will be closed off to the public starting June 22.

  • Summer 2026 - bidding and contracts
  • Summer 2026 through Summer 2027 - Construction

What will happen to programming during this time?

Programming will continue during the closure, with classes and workshops relocating to alternate sites beginning in September.

Will you continue to offer studio memberships during the closure?
