The City strategic planning overhaul has been selected as a feature in "50 States, 50 Breakthroughs," a national showcase highlighting one public service project from every state. Resident input from focus groups and surveys strengthened alignment with community priorities, turning strategy into tangible progress.

CARES stands for Crisis Alternative Response for Empathy and Support. Its four elements – crisis call diversion, a peer support team, co-response, and a community response team – are each making progress.
