Blue Ridge Road Bike-Ped Project - Construction Activity
We are dedicated to improving bicycle and pedestrian connectivity in Raleigh.We are building a pedestrian bridge that spans over Wade Avenue/I440 and a new multi-use path along Blue Ridge Road from just north of Trinity Road to Reedy Creek Road. The project also includes Raleigh's first protected intersection.
Construction is underway on this project. There may be intermittent lane closures as the work progresses.

Wilmington, Hargett Street Night Work Scheduled
Affected Date-A partial intersection closure will be in place at Wilmington Street and Hargett Street from Wednesday, May 20, through Thursday, May 21, and again Monday, May 25, through Friday, June 19, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly as part of a Capital Improvement Project. One lane will remain open through the intersection while crews also work along Hargett Street. Motorists are urged to follow posted signs, drive carefully through work zones and consider alternate routes. The city thanks residents and visitors for their patience as crews make these improvements.

E Cabarrus, S Person closure begins June 5
Affected Date-A full intersection closure is scheduled at E Cabarrus Street and S Person Street on Friday, June 5, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of a Capital Improvement Project. The intersection will be closed to through traffic during this time, and a detour will be in place. Crews also will be working along E Cabarrus Street and S Person Street. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.
A full road closure also is scheduled for the 300 block of E Cabarrus Street, between S Person Street and S Bloodworth Street, from Friday, June 5, at 7 a.m. through Friday, June 12, at 5 p.m. The road will remain closed until work is completed. Local traffic will be allowed for driveway access only. A detour will be in place, and crews will be working in the area. Motorists should use caution, expect delays, and plan extra travel time.

E Martin, S Person Streets Intersection to Close
Affected Date-A full intersection closure will be in place at E Martin Street and S Person Street from Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 26 (on or after) for a Capital Improvement Project that also includes work along S Person Street.
A detour will be in place. Motorists should expect delays, follow posted detour signs, use alternate routes when possible and use caution in the work zone.
The city thanks residents, businesses and visitors for their patience while crews complete this work.

Downtown traffic impacts June 16-29
Affected Date-Downtown traffic advisory: June 16–29
Road work will occur on multiple downtown streets from June 16-29. Drivers should expect temporary lane closures, lane shifts and occasional full road closures on Person, Blount and South Wilmington streets. Delays are likely during work hours.
Traffic control will be in place to separate work zones from vehicles. Normal traffic patterns will be restored each evening where possible.

June 17 – Person St (East Hargett to East Martin): Left double lane closure
June 18 – Person St (East Hargett to Minerva): Full closure (detour via South Bloodworth St)

Raleigh Water Sewer Maintenance will be repairing a sewer collection system at the 2000 Block of Wade Avenue, Raleigh NC. Traffic traveling on Wade Avenue from Dixie Trail towards Brooks Avenue will be reduced down to a single lane. Both lanes will open reopen before Brooks Avenue.

Intersections at East South Street, East Lenoir Street, and East Cabarrus Street will also be closed, so you’ll want to plan a different route. Expect some delays if you usually drive through this area.

South Blount Street Closure July 6-17
Affected Date-A full block closure will be in place on South Blount Street between East Cabarrus Street and East Lenoir Street as part of a Capital Improvement Project. A detour will be in place, and crews also will be working along Stronachs Alley. No on-street parking will be allowed during construction.
The closure will begin Monday, July 6 at 7 a.m. and continue through the end of the day Friday, July 17. Local traffic will be accommodated where possible, but delays are expected.
Motorists should follow posted detour signs, use alternate routes when possible and exercise caution in the work zone.
