Blue Ridge Road South Construction
Please drive slowly through the construction site.
Construction crews are actively working on the Blue Ridge Road Widening South Project. There may be temporary lane closures during this work. Crews are scheduled to complete the project in Spring 2026.
For your safety, and that of the crews working on this project, drive cautiously through the construction zone. Please follow detours and signage, and expect delays. We appreciate your patience as we work to make Blue Ridge Road safer and more accessible for all users.

South Person Street will be closed between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and East Davie Street (300–800 blocks).
Intersections at East South Street, East Lenoir Street, and East Cabarrus Street will also be closed, so you’ll want to plan a different route. Expect some delays if you usually drive through this area.

Street Closures in Downtown Raleigh for a Water and Sewer Project
A lane closure will be in place in the 100 block of South Wilmington Street, with lanes open. Motorists are urged to follow posted signs, drive carefully through work zones and consider alternate routes. The city thanks residents and visitors for their patience as crews make these improvements.

Nightly Lane Closures Set for South Blount Street
South Blount Street will have a lane closure between East Edenton Street and East Morgan Street (100–200 blocks) nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
One travel lane will be closed, and street parking will be unavailable during these hours. One lane will remain open for southbound traffic. Motorists should plan alternate routes and expect delays if traveling through the area.

Wilmington-Hargett Intersection Closure
A closure will be in place at the Wilmington St. and Hargett St. intersection from Monday, April 27, through Wednesday, April 29, as construction continues with work scheduled to end Thursday, April 30, at 6 a.m. One travel lane will remain open through the intersection.
Motorists are urged to follow posted signs, use caution in the work zone and consider alternate routes. The City thanks residents and visitors for their patience as crews complete these improvements.

Street Closure for a Water and Sewer Maintenance
Please drive slow through the construction site.
The Raleigh Water Sewer Maintenance Division is currently performing maintenance on N. Bloodworth Street and Pace Street. Pace Street will be closed at N. Person Street and N. Bloodworth Street.
The intersection will remain open for motorists traveling on N. Bloodworth Street. Motorists traveling on N. Person Street will use E. Franklin Street as a detour.
