Complimentary Parking for Citizens attending all City Council, Boards and Commission Meetings
Operational Procedure
For citizens and board members attending City Council and Boards & Commission Meetings, they will receive a white entrance ticket from the parking deck equipment upon entrance into the Raleigh Municipal Building parking deck. To exit the deck free of charge, they will need to bring their entry ticket into the facility and use the parking validator located outside of the Raleigh City Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building. To validate, they scan the barcode on the entry ticket using the integrated scanner located on the bottom of the validator and wait for confirmation.
Important Notes
- The new automated system will not accept previously provided white boards and commission or green vouchers.
- All attendees need to validate their original entry tickets at the validator located on the 2nd floor next to the Council Chambers.
Policy Reminder:
In accordance with the City Council approval, the program only applies to citizens attending approved public meetings in the Raleigh Municipal Building, and for parking only in the Raleigh Municipal.
The program is not extended to city staff that are on-duty.
