Solid Waste Services COVID-19 Information:
City to Suspend Some Solid Waste Services Collections March 30
To ensure the safety, health, and well-being of our customers and staff while providing essential services to the public, City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services has staggered work schedules for its employees.
- Garbage and recycling collection now starts at 6 a.m.
- We ask that you place your carts at the curb the night before your normal pickup day.
We realize this change in schedules may have resulted in missed collections; our crews have ensured those collections are picked up. You can always call our missed collections line at 919-996-3245 if you have been affected. Please be advised that this revised schedule will remain in effect until further notice. We appreciate your understanding during this time.
The City of Raleigh will temporarily suspend a variety of collections starting on Monday, March 30. This includes:
- Bulky and special loads
We will temporarily suspend yard waste collection starting on Monday, April 6. Please don’t continue to place yard waste at the curb as it won’t be collected. From that day on, we will only collect garbage and recycling. These changes will allow us to focus our resources on these key services and maintaining health and safety.
