After the holidays, there's a new purpose for your dried-out Christmas tree. Recycle it!
Leave your tree curbside on your yard waste collection day, and our crews will pick it up and take it to the Raleigh Yard Waste Center to turn it into mulch.
Christmas tree pickup runs from December 26 - February 1.
Reminders:
- Leave your tree right on the ground for collection. Do not put it in your trash, recycling, or yard waste bin.
- Remove all lights and decorations.
- No Christmas lights in the recycling bin. Reuse your lights for next year. When it's time to dispose of them, put them in the garbage.
- No artificial trees! Only live trees for Christmas tree recycling.
Residents can also drop off their Christmas tree at one of several locations and help create trails in Wake County Parks.
