We host a stream cleanup in the spring and fall every year at different locations in Raleigh. Volunteers help us remove thousands of pounds of trash from local streams. This is a great way to be a part of keeping our waterways clean and healthy in just a few hours.
Working in the Stream
Here's what you can expect:
You'll be removing trash from the stream.
We'll collect and dispose of the trash for you after each cleanup.
Please wear outdoor attire and closed-toe shoes. It's recommended to dress in clothes that can get muddy, long pants, and boots.

After the Cleanup
We appreciate the hard work that our volunteers put in during a cleanup. You may find items like - trash, tires, scooters, tents, dog kennels, toilets, and mattresses in the stream.
The more litter we clean out from the stream - the healthier it will be. If this is something that you'd like to continue - take a look at our long-termvolunteer opportunities.
