Construction

We will repair about 3,400 feet of stormwater pipes in poor condition which totals the length of 10 football fields! Construction began late August 2025 and will last about 6 months.

January 2026 Update

We are repairing the existing stormwater pipes on Glenwood Avenue. In January 2026, the construction crew will be lining the pipe with a UV Cured Liner. This liner is durable and long lasting, hardens rapidly, and minimizes digging and disturbance. The construction crew will repave or replace the sidewalk and roadway after work is complete. In December 2025, we installed new stormwater drains along Glenwood Avenue, from Hillsborough Street to West Jones Street.

What To Expect

Normal work hours will be Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm during the project period. Traffic impacts closures may vary by location and will range from flagging and light traffic control to temporary lane or street closures. For the most part, local traffic (residents within the work zone) will have access to their driveways and will be able to come and go as needed.
