Western Corridor - Most Recent Update:
The Wake BRT: Western Corridor project is nearing completion of final 30% designs. There will be public engagement opportunities once these designs are complete.
The Western Corridor Project was submitted to the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Capital Investment Grant (CIG) program in Fall 2024. Ratings – which indicate how likely the project is likely to receive a full funding grant agreement are expected alongside the full FTA Fiscal Year 2026 Funding Recommendations, which have yet to be published. Environmental documentation continues to progress alongside final design.
