Raleigh Arts

Established in 2009 as part of Raleigh’s public art program, the mission of the Public Art and Design Board is to promote and facilitate the inclusion of art into Raleigh's public realm by establishing processes that create a connection between artists, partners, and communities to enhance the City's vitality.

The Public Art and Design Board serves as an advisory board for the public art program and:

  • Develops policy
  • Reviews projects
  • Advises artists and project managers
  • Steers community engagement
  • Recommends the nature and placement of Percent for Art public art projects

When: Last Tuesday of each month from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Public Comment via Phone

To leave a public comment for the Arts Commission, call 855-925-2801 and enter code 2594.  Voicemails are accepted between 5 p.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Monday before a Tuesday Commission meeting. One per person per meeting. The limit for these public comments is 3 minutes. All public comments remotely submitted will be transcribed and become part of public record. Comments will be posted to BoardDocs 30 minutes prior to the Meeting.
