Garner Road Pedestrian Improvements

We are making sidewalk and pedestrian improvements!

Updated: Jan 9, 2025

The project consists of a sidewalk on the west side of Garner Rd. from the existing sidewalk to Walnut Creek Trail Entrance and from Hoke St. north to McMankin St. 

We are also installing four pedestrian crossings with pedestrian refuges islands and a high visibility crosswalk at Garner Rd. and Bragg St.

Design Update August 2024

The design team completed the advanced design plans and they are being reviewed by the City's Development Services.

We are in the design phase of the project.

Proposed design includes:

  • Sidewalk installations
  • Pedestrian crossings
  • Pedestrian refuge islands
  • Crosswalk installations
