The Office of the Fire Marshal is the enforcement, educational, and informational arm of the Raleigh Fire Department. They perform site inspections, issues permits, enforce fire codes, and coordinate pre-fire planning for buildings and facilities within the city. The division is also responsible for conducting fire investigations to determine origin and cause of all fires, and provides public fire education to the citizens of Raleigh.
