Wake BRT Program Update
Several Wake BRT projects are currently underway in different stages of planning and design. BRT will bring fast, reliable and efficient bus service to Wake County along four (4) key corridors. More information on how BRT works is available on the Bus Rapid Transit page.
Proposed BRT System

Station Design
The City of Raleigh is currently working on station design for the Wake BRT system. The placement of stations will be determined during the design phase for each corridor. We would like your feedback. Please view the video below to learn more about station design work efforts and take the station design visual preference survey.
Branding
Branding the Wake BRT system will help give it a distinct look, which will make it easier to recognize. A consistent brand identity will help customers navigate the system by making the BRT system easily identifiable. Please view the video below to learn more about the branding work efforts.
Raleigh BRT: Equitable Development Around Transit
The Raleigh BRT: Equitable Development Around Transit (EDAT) project was completed in August. Community feedback helped to develop the Equitable Transit-Oriented Development Guidebook. The guidebook, summary video, community engagement materials and other information is available on the Raleigh BRT: EDAT project page.
The Raleigh BRT: EDAT project's final survey and recommendations include a text change in the Unified Development Ordinance and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan. Both are being reviewed by the City of Raleigh Planning Commission. You can view a video about the EDAT project and the final recommendations as well as the survey results.

Wake BRT: Artist in Residence
The outcome of the Artist in Residence program will inform public artwork and designs for the entire BRT system. Your participation in future live meetings with the artist and short surveys will help to create unique identities for each Wake BRT corridor. The early stages of the art initiative will focus on New Bern Avenue and eventually shift to other corridors in the system.
The Artist in Residence, Dare Coulter, has been meeting with City of Raleigh communities to gather stories and ideas for public artwork. The most recent meeting with the artist was Oct. 21. You can still provide your thoughts through a short survey. The survey will remain open until Jan. 15, 2021.
