The Contest

How would YOU protect streams from water pollution? Show us through a video or artwork! We'll choose winners based on messaging, creativity, and quality. A $500 cash prize will be awarded for each category.

Application Open: November 8, 2022
Application Closed: February 20, 2023

Submit an application with your artwork here.

The contest is open to 8th - 12th grade students who live or attend a school within the Raleigh area or the Extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).

Create a 60-second video or a drawing/painting that will bring awareness to the community about the need to improve the water quality of Raleigh's streams and lakes. Once created, submit your artwork along with the Capture It! Contest Application by February 20, 2023.

After the application deadline, internal committees will review and deliberate on all projects in both categories to determine the winners.
