Ready Raleigh Snow Emergency

Preparing Raleigh for the Unexpected

You never know when disaster will strike, but Raleigh is helping residents be ready when it does. In 2023, the City of Raleigh received a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to strengthen community resilience. This funding supported the distribution of 2,000 copies of the Ready Raleigh Emergency Preparedness Guide, a comprehensive resource designed to help individuals and families prepare for natural or man-made disasters.

The guide offers practical advice on creating emergency kits, staying informed during crises, and contacting the right agencies before and after emergencies. It’s an essential tool for every Raleigh resident, ensuring that no matter what challenges arise, they’re equipped to respond and recover quickly.
