This project will breathe new life into the Seaboard Station water infrastructure by replacing outdated infrastructure and improving long-term reliability. The existing sewer outfall north of the railroad will be safely relocated, reducing risk and enhancing system performance.
Over the course of the project, crews will install about 3,400 feet of new 12-inch sewer line—that’s more than 10 football fields laid end to end. They’ll also put in 1,900 feet of upgraded 6- to 8-inch waterline, roughly the length of six city blocks.
These improvements will help deliver more reliable service to the entire area. The work also includes a trenchless sanitary sewer crossing beneath the railroad, minimizing disruption while delivering a modern, resilient utility system.
