Plainview Avenue & Vale Street Sidewalk Project

We are installing a new sidewalk!

We are installing a sidewalk on the west side of Plainview Avenue from Rankin Street to Dennis Avenue and on the south side of Vale Street from Brookside Drive to Plainview Avenue.

The Plainview Avenue and Vale Street Sidewalk Project is the result of a successful sidewalk petition the City received in fall 2017.

Adjustments to the sidewalk width and setback may be included in the final design to avoid significant impacts in certain areas as needed and determined by our Engineering staff.

The right of way and easement acquisition phase of the project is completed.

The project is entering the construction phase. The City has combined this project with a few other sidewalk projects for construction. The other projects are:

We plan to advertise the projects for construction bids this fall, and we expect construction to start in the winter.
