Garner Road Sewer Improvements

Improvement project will replace aging materials to meet future infrastructure capacity demand.

Project will provide for sewer infrastructure replacement in the project area as a result of existing infrastructure being found in poor condition. The Project area is East Garner Road from Cofield Aly to 606 East Garner Road. Garner Road is an NCDOT road and lane closures will be coordinated with the Town of Garner.

Construction

Construction is set to begin on March 4, 2024. Residents, businesses, and commuters will notice the contractor mobilizing to the site as well as the staging of pipe, manholes, and equipment in preparation for installation.

Traffic Impacts: 

Traffic Alert: Detour from New Rand Road to Jones Sausage Road for a Planned Capital Improvement Project

          The City of Raleigh will close Garner Road in Garner, NC, from New Rand Road to Jones Sausage Road, to all eastbound traffic starting Monday July 15, 2024, for a planned capital improvement project. The project is estimated to be completed in two months, although work schedules are dependent on weather and other factors.
