Fayetteville Street Streetscape Improvement Project

Enhancing a community space for everyone to enjoy

The streetscape improvement project is an initial phase of the Fayetteville Street Streetscape Plan, which creates a long-term vision for the corridor through design standards for landscaping, lighting, public art, site furnishings, and pedestrian improvements.

The Fayetteville Street Streetscape Improvement Project was approved with a $1 million budget allocation by the City Council at the November 4, 2025, meeting. The recommended short-term implementation strategy includes:

  • Modifying horizontal planters to gain space for activation and outdoor seating.
  • Introducing public art designed to create engaging visual experiences within the corridor.
  • Fabricating and installing wayfinding and interactive seating elements.
  • Adding new outdoor seating and activation elements.
