Start Service

To ensure the start process goes smoothly, please be aware of the following:

  • Allow five (5) business days to process your new service request. 
  • Requests are performed weekdays during normal business hours.
  • Identity of the account holder will be verified for all new accounts. Examples of proof of identity include but are not limited to: 
    • social security card;
    • valid driver’s license;
    • passport, state-issued photo id card; or,
    • lease/rental agreement. 
  • Businesses must provide a tax identification number.
  • New accounts are required to pay a $50 service initiation fee. 
  • New customers are required to pay a $50 deposit.
  • Before your service is connected, make sure all faucets are turned off and sink/tub stoppers are open to prevent accidental flooding.
  • Once your account is established, register your account

Stop Utility Service

Customers are responsible for stopping their account and the final bill will be calculated from the last meter reading at the time services are disconnected.

If stopping your account, remember to update your mailing address.

Transfer Service

There are typically three reasons why a customer wants to transfer services.

  1. Moving within the service area
    If you are moving to another location within the service area, select the Transfer Utility Service link below.
  2. Legal Name Change
    To update an existing account due to a legal name change, contact customer service. Learn more about what is needed to update an account name.
  3. Deceased Account Holder
    Learn about the steps to take if the account holder is deceased.

Meter Set Requests

  • Prior to requesting a meter set, be sure that:
    • The utility connection permit has been obtained;
    • The property complies with City code; and,
    • The property is ready for meter installation.
  • There is a $50 fee if the property is not ready for a meter. There will be an additional $50 Meter Set Return Trip Fee (Not Ready) for each address that does not meet code.
