A New Way to Manage Your Utility Account

Introducing "Raleigh Water Self-Service"

This November, Raleigh Water will launch an upgraded customer utility billing portal called "Raleigh Water Self-Service." The new portal is designed to make managing your account(s) faster, smarter, and more secure.

How does this affect you?

  • You won't be able to make a utility payment Nov. 7-11 because the current utility portal is being replaced.
  • Payments will be accepted again on Nov. 12; however, all users must create a new account using the new utility billing portal.
  • Customers will NOT be able to make in-person or online payments during the transition, Nov. 7-11.
  • The call center will be closed Nov. 10-11.

With the new portal, you'll be able to pay your bill, update your information, and request services anytime, anywhere.

We're also introducing a new "My Request" feature to help us better track your requests. For customers with multiple accounts, the new portal will make it easier to group, nickname, and share them.

What to Know

  • Nov. 12: Get ready! Our new utility billing portal goes live on November 12. We'll send you a reminder, but go ahead and mark your calendar now.
  • Autopay users must re-enroll. If you currently use autopay, you will need to sign up for it again on or after Nov. 12 in the new portal before your next payment is due or plan to pay a different way.
  • Get hands-on help. We will host community events in November and December to provide hands-on assistance and answer your questions about the new portal.
  • Multiple payment options will still be available. You will still be able to pay by mail, in person at our downtown Raleigh office or at any community town hall in one of our merger communities (Garner, Knightdale, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell or Zebulon) or at your local Walmart.
  • System Maintenance: Please note that you will not be able to make a payment using any method between Nov. 7 and Nov. 11. The call center will be closed Nov. 10-11.

We're Here to Help

We're ready to answer any questions you may have. Email your questions to RaleighWaterSelfService@raleighnc.gov.

You won't be able to create a new account until the new portal launches, but we've already put together a new portal FAQ page to answer questions that you might have when the time comes.

Pay Current Bill

Until Nov. 7, please continue to pay your utility bill using our current web self-service portal.
