Help Us Observe Wildlife!
Find and identify plants, fungi, and animals at Durant Nature Preserve! During the entire month of October, visit the park, take photos of wildlife, and post them on iNaturalist. By documenting the unique plants and animals, we can get a better understanding of how this watershed is impacted by stormwater runoff and the different ecosystem benefits it provides our community. Instructions provided below.
Bioblitz Kickoff In-person Event
Join other community scientists to find wildlife in Durant Nature Preserve as a group! Learn about stormwater, watersheds, and nature from parks and stormwater experts. Registration is limited.
When: Friday, October 2, 2026 - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Instructions
- Visit the Durant Nature Preserve BioBlitz - October 2026 page.
- Login or Create an iNaturalist account.
- Select "Join" on the Durant Nature Preserve BioBlitz - October 2026 Biothon page.
- Visit the park throughout October or at the in-person Bioblitz to take pictures and upload to iNaturalist.
