Road Closures Planned Overnight

Plan ahead if traveling through downtown Raleigh. City of Raleigh crews will complete work as part of a Capital Improvement Project, resulting in road closures, detours and possible delays.

Tuesday, Aug. 4, 9 p.m. to Wednesday, Aug. 5, 6 a.m.

• McDowell Street will be closed between Davie Street and W. Hargett Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to S. Harrington Street.
• Wilmington Street will be closed between E. Jones Street and E. Morgan Street. Traffic will be detoured to Fayetteville Street.

Construction crews will be working in the roadway during each closure. Drivers should expect possible delays, slow down, follow posted detours and use caution when traveling through work zones.
