Scotland Street Improvement Project

Improving mobility and connectivity for pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular traffic

The Project improvements include installation of curb and gutter along the entire length of the project on both sides, installation of sidewalk along the north side and on the south side from Lakeview Drive to Lassiter Mill Rd., installation of storm drains, and repaving of entire street.

This is a Complete Streets project, designed to be safe and accessible to all users.

Design

Due to some Stormwater work completed in the area we needed to revise our design plans. We completed a geotechnical investigation to determine size and location of rock, allowing the team to finalizing the drainage design along the road.  

The design plans were approved by Development Services in Sept. 2023.

Construction

Construction has started on the Scotland Street Improvement Project. Crews are working on clearing operations and have started to install the new storm drain system.  

Due to the nature of this project, there is a road closure and detour in place during the project. See below for the detour map. There will be no through traffic, but residents living in the construction zone will have access to their property.
