Construction

We will be replacing the drainage system that failed on Park Drive. This will involve shutting down the road for several weeks. We expect the project will be completed end of September 2024, but this will depend on weather and other unknown variables such as subsurface conditions.

What To Expect

Raleigh Stormwater and Moffat Pipe. are dedicated to minimizing impacts to you during construction. Work hours will be Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with no work scheduled on the weekend except in an emergency or with prior approval from the City. You will be notified if such schedule changes need to take place. The City will be performing the inspection on the project and will have an inspector onsite daily.

Traffic Detours and Road Closures

Traffic detours will be set during the above periods, with sections of roadways closed to through traffic. Residents living within the construction limits will keep access to their driveways during construction. One of the critical parts of this project is keeping the roads safe for both residents of Raleigh and our contractor. Please enter or leave the neighborhood at slower than normal speeds.

Background

A sink hole formed August 30 in the road near 1302 Park Drive due to aging stormwater infrastructure. The City worked over the weekend to stabilize the sink hole and make the site safe. This project is an emergency repair.
