Newbold Street Drainage Improvements

Drainage Assistance Program

We are going to repair failing stormwater pipes on Newbold Street. The pipes are causing sinkholes on two properties. Water sits in the pipe (due to downstream conditions) and causes street flooding during large storms.

This project is bundled with the Alamance Drive Drainage Improvements project and the Beaver Dam Road Drainage Improvements project.

Design

The consultant completed the design for this project. We're looking to replace the 36-inch concrete stormwater pipe. We'll also be adjusting stream channel conditions to allow water to flow more easily and safely through the pipe.
