There is 150 linear feet of streambank erosion between private residential structures on Bernadette Lane and Kelley Court. The streambank erosion is approaching toward the residential structures at 7725-7735 Kelley Court.

Planning

The scope of work for this project has been finalized and the contract is in the process of being executed. The consultant is expected to start the design for the stormwater upgrades in the next few months.

Project Goals

  • Minimize streambank erosion;
  • Ensure residents have safe access to backyards

Project Surveying

  • Survey and Field Data Collection, including topographic survey, will occur in Winter/Spring 2024.

Design

The consultant will first survey the project area and perform preliminary hydrologic and hydraulic analysis to prepare for the design of the project.

Project Upgrades

  • Stable streambanks utilizing bank armoring (where necessary) and natural channel design principles;
  • Protection of underground utility assets in the area
