We found possible stormwater infrastructure improvements to reduce apartment flooding on Dana Drive.

Project Goals

  • Identify stormwater improvements reduce flooding.
  • Identify channel restoration and floodplain grading opportunities along Walnut Creek to reduce flood elevations.

We will meet with the contractors to discuss the floodplain modeling and design options for the project.

Background

Dana Drive is along Walnut Creek and the area has repeated flooding issues due to a small pipe under Dana Drive and a backwater issue from the floodplain around Walnut Creek.
