Construction

The Contractor is working to complete surface restoration along the project corridor.  This includes regrading and seeding disturbed unpaved surfaces, as well as asphalt restoration.  Erosion and sedimentation control devices, such as silt fence, must remain in place until vegetation is established.  Asphalt pavement restoration is underway.

Cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining work and manhole replacement along the project corridor is complete and wastewater is actively flowing in the renewed sewer system.  The black 36” diameter bypass sewer pipe extending through the project corridor is being removed.

Raleigh Water is renewing the oldest pipes of the Crabtree Creek Parallel Interceptor system to upgrade aging infrastructure so that the system can continue to operate safely. This construction renewal will impact a small section of greenway.
