This project will improve the stormwater system at a property on Alamance Drive. The pipe is in poor condition causing a home to flood during heavy rainstorms.

This project is bundled with the Beaver Dam Road Drainage Improvements project and the Newbold Street Drainage Improvements project.

Design

The consultant has completed survey work and the hydraulic study and alternatives analysis for the project design. The design phase is completed.

Project Goals

  • Replace the 12-inch pipe that carries stormwater underneath a structure on Alamance Drive;
  • Re-route and increase the size of the stormwater pipe to reduce home flooding; and, 
  • Study the system downstream to see how much stormwater pipes can carry and if the system will be impacted by any improvements on Alamance Drive.
