What to Expect as a Team Member Meeting Schedule

Technical Teams are topic-based teams of subject-matter experts who meet to provide guidance and develop policy recommendations for the City’s Next Comprehensive Plan. Five teams are organized by key topics included in the next plan:

  • Land Use
  • Transportation
  • Housing and Neighborhoods
  • Natural Resources
  • Infrastructure and Services

Each Technical Team includes:

  • City staff
  • Representatives from City boards and commissions
  • Technical experts from the Raleigh community

What to Expect as a Team Member

As a Technical Team member, you can expect to review existing comprehensive policies, emerging trends, and public input gathered during Phase 1 of Reflecting Raleigh. Together, teams will review and develop content for the Next Comprehensive Plan.

Meeting Schedule

Teams will meet once a month for five months between January and June 2026. Meetings will be held in person for 60-90 minutes.  

Members of the public will be compensated for their time on a team at the conclusion of the process. Refreshments and childcare will be provided to all members.
