Teen X-Treme Summer Camp

Teen X-Treme is a high-quality summer camp program specifically designed for teens ages 12 to 14. This program leads teens through a broad curriculum of socially interactive experiences that includes arts and craft, indoor/outdoor recreational games, character & leadership, and other fun activities. 

Program Hours

All sites operate from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, except July 4 and June 19.

Program Locations

This camp is offered at Abbotts CreekBiltmore Hills, EastgateMarsh Creek, and Saint Monica Teen Center.

Program Cost

$100 Resident, $115 Non-resident

Leaders in Training

Leaders In Training Camp is engaging, empowering, and experiential. This camp helps teens build life skills, develop a sense of self, and connect to their world. As a result, teens develop healthy behaviors, relationships, and leadership skills. Teens will gain exposure to furthering their education with information on local college/university tours, financial literacy, career options, life wellness, and outdoor adventures. Teens will also be exposed to various career opportunities through the City of Raleigh.

Drop off is from 8 to 8:30 a.m. and pick up is from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Please be sure your camper is on time as programming starts at 9 a.m. Participants should bring a lunch, two snacks, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle each day.

Teen Outdoor Adventure

Come take an adventure through the great outdoors with the Teen Outdoor Adventure camp. This camp is designed to expose teens to local nature and state parks. We will be on the go all day paddling, climbing, hiking, biking, and exploring our city. Life skills and leadership development will be key components during this one-week journey.

Drop off is from 8 to 8:30 a.m. and pick up is from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Please make sure campers arrive at camp by 9 a.m. daily. Participants should bring a lunch, two snacks, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle each day and dress for outdoor activities. Campers should also bring a swimsuit, towel, and close-toed water shoes each day.

Youth Fire Academy Camp

Led by the City of Raleigh firefighters, participants will visit local fire stations to learn about firefighting and see just how tough the job can be. Classroom and physical fitness challenge activities will include first aid, fire behavior, fire inspections and code enforcement, fire prevention, investigations, thermal imaging demos, and more.

Take this amazing opportunity to handle the tools and equipment used by actual firefighters and see if you have what it takes! Participants should bring a water bottle, lunch, and two snacks each day. Lions Park Community Center.
