Feasibility and Preliminary Design

Project Overview

The Marsh Creek Greenway project includes a feasibility study and preliminary design for the future development of a new greenway trail within the Marsh Creek Corridor of the Capital Area Greenway System. The project’s study area extends approximately 6 miles from the Crabtree Creek Trail to Spring Forest Road. The project, once constructed with future funding, will provide access to residential communities as well as connections to Brentwood Park, Hill Street Park and the Crabtree Creek Trail.

Planning

Alta Planning + Design, Inc., in collaboration with STV Engineers, Inc., is leading the Marsh Creek Greenway Planning and Feasibility Study. The study began in July 2025 and is now nearing completion. 

The planning and feasibility phases are funded by the 2022 Parks Bond.
