Discover the vibrant possibilities of enameling in this two-day, hands-on workshop focused silkscreening and stencil sifting on copper. Using specialty enamels designed for silkscreen applications, you'll experiment with pre-cut copper shapes - including a custom light switch cover - to explore how pattern, texture, and color can come alive in fired enamel. You'll create a series of samples as you learn, giving you plenty of room to play, practice, and refine your designs. A required $40 fee covers specialty supplies such as Sunshine Enamels, gel medium, blackboard (pre-enameled steel), light switch covers, and assorted copper blanks. Join us for a colorful, creative, and productive workshop that welcomes all skill levels. Instructor: Betty McKim.

Buzz into clay fun! Pre-K potters will explore the world of bees and learn about the hexagon shapes they build in hives. Each child will create a hexagon tile and add their own cheerful clay bee on it. We’ll finish with bright glazes to bring their buzzing creations to life. Projects will be left for firing and ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after class. All supplies included. 1 session. Instructor: Sue Chegari.

Teen Jewelry - Stacking Rings

In this screen printing class, we will be focusing on projects with multiple colors that require multiple layers. This will give us the opportunity to put our registration skills to use and build confidence with lining up our layers. This will also allow us to mix our own inks to build a harmonious and intentional color palette for our pieces. Some experience with screen printing is helpful. Supply list prints on receipt. This course invites participants to delve into the enchanting world of seed beading over three transformative Sundays. In this comprehensive course, students will master the art of creating intricate beaded jewelry, including at least three pairs of stunning earrings and a set of chic stackable bracelets. Guided by expert instruction in a supportive environment, participants will learn essential techniques for beading, pattern creation, and color combination. They will explore the nuances of designing unique, durable pieces that showcase their personal style. Beaded Bliss promises a blend of creativity and craftsmanship, culminating in a collection of handmade jewelry to wear or gift proudly. Best for intermediate crafters, although beginners are welcome. Let’s paint our way through the dark ages! Primitive, magical and often bizarre - Medieval art has inspired many an art movement including the surrealist painters of the 1930s-60s. We will study medieval paintings for their compositions, color palettes, imagery and symbolism - and learn how these paintings can inform our work today. Supply list prints on receipt. 4 sessions. Register for Painting - Let It Pour: A Relaxed Watercolor Weekend

With an emphasis on design and planning, you will learn the technique of pouring diluted watercolor directly on paper. Pouring creates a wide range of colors and creates amazing blending effects. Through instructor demonstration, you will learn about masking, wetting techniques, using gravity to mix your limited palette, and preserving the transparency of your layers. Additional texture will be created using the mouth atomizer. You'll choose your own subject matter: still life, landscape, architectural, floral, or portrait. All levels welcome, including first-time watercolorists. Student provide their own materials; link to supply list prints on receipt. 2 sessions. Instructor: Ryan Fox.
