The goal of the Raleigh Police Department is to make Raleigh one of the safest cities in the United States. To do that, we continually advance strategies that prevent crime and seek out ways to engage with the community to build trust.

We explore appropriate policy direction with the Mayor and City Council. In addition, we seek solutions to the complex community problems that contribute to crime and disorder.
