Current Impacts to City Services

Some City services are still impacted by this weekend's winter weather. 

City Services, Programs, and Facilities Impacted:

Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources

Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources facilities will remain closed on Monday, Jan. 26.

Transportation

GoRaleigh

  • All service alerts will be posted on GoRaleigh.org.
  • Monday, Jan. 26
    GoRaleigh will operate on a Sunday Level Service for route services beginning at noon and finishing up departures for all services in the 6 p.m. hour. Those buses will make all connections with connecting routes and then will go out of service at the GoRaleigh station. Connecting (L) routes will complete their trip after the connection is made and then go out of service.
    • MicroLink in Fuquay-Varina and Rolesville will operate during the same hours noon to 6 p.m.
    • GoRaleigh Access will operate beginning at noon with the last pick-up’s at 6:30 p.m. in order to complete drop offs by 7 p.m.

Road Maintenance

The City's Transportation Department has 30 salt spreader/snow plow trucks out on the roads with 4,000 tons of salt at the ready.

Solid Waste Services

  • Solid waste service in the Central Business District is canceled for Monday, Jan. 26.
  • The Yard Waste Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.

Planning and Development

Monday, Jan. 26
The Customer Service Center on the fourth floor of One Exchange Plaza will open at noon on Monday, Jan. 26. Scheduled inspections will also begin at noon:

  • Building
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical
  • Plumbing
  • Zoning
  • Fire
  • Stormwater
  • Transportation
  • Housing   

If your inspection is impacted by this delay or if the site is not safely accessible, your inspector will contact you to reschedule.  

Online services are not impacted, and customers may access the online Permit and Development Portal. For questions related to permitting and development, please submit an inquiry through Ask Raleigh or contact the Customer Service Center at 919-996-2500.
