'Shop with a Cop' Spreads Holiday Joy

Program helps law enforcement build positive relationships with youth

The Raleigh Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program recently brought holiday cheer to more than sixty local children.

Each child received a $300 gift card to spend on gifts for themselves and their loved ones. Police officers and children bonded over shared interests and laughter as they shopped together at a local Target.

The Shop with a Cop program is more than just a shopping trip; it’s an opportunity for law enforcement to build positive relationships with community members and spread holiday joy.

The Raleigh Police Department's Youth Services Unit coordinated the event.

This year’s shopping event was made possible by the following sponsors: McDonald 's-Gaffney Gunter Enterprises, Flowserve of Raleigh, A&M Premier Roofing, Health Blue NC, CPI Security, and Target.
