What is a Big Ideas Raleigh Meetup?
The Meetup is a dynamic gathering to spark collaboration, innovation, and strategic planning for Raleigh. Organized by the Office of Strategy and Innovation, these sessions bring together a diverse mix of community members, businesses, organizations, stakeholders, and local government representatives.
Our mission?
To cultivate meaningful connections and ignite idea exchanges. Together, we'll dive into discussions on City initiatives and explore groundbreaking solutions to Raleigh's most pressing challenges. Each Meetup will cover a topic related to the City's Strategic Plan. Get excited for conversations about the arts, sustainability, business development, affordable housing and more!
Upcoming Meetup
The next Meetup is set for April 10 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at our Sponsor and host, Slalom, 421 N. Harrington St. This event is in partnership with the Raleigh-Durham Startup Week.
At this event, attendees will be asked to offer their solution to issues or ideas identified at previous BIRMs. Participants will get feedback and market assessment from local government stakeholders in each subject area. Specifically, we are asking for an idea that will help improve:
- Traffic and Navigation
- Housing & Neighborhood Improvements
- Small Business Support
- Natural Resources & Sustainability
We will be having “minute pitches” giving entrepreneurs opportunity to share their solutions with subject experts in transportation, housing, communications, and more!
