Public Art in the Collection
"Chavis Reclaimed" by David Wilson
More than 40 works of public art are on permanent display in the Municipal Art Collection. These large-scale, highly visible works in stone, metal, and glass complement the fine art exhibited in City buildings and temporary public art projects, like murals, that pop up in the community on bus stops, stormwater devices, sidewalks, traffic signals, and buildings. Raleigh issues national calls for public art projects and has worked with artists across the country to create original works of art with our community including 29 artists from North Carolina.
Raleigh Convention Center Artworks
