The Actors Fund

The Actors Fund fosters stability and resiliency and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan.

Allies in Arts

Allies in Arts is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support womyn/women, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQQIA2S-identified artists by granting them access to funding, professional equipment, and services to produce and distribute original works.

Americans for the Arts

Artist Soapbox

Artist Soapbox is a platform for Triangle-area artists to discuss their creative work with their own voices. Durham-based theatre-maker, Tamara Kissane, chats with artists about their work, their plans, and their manifestos.

ARTS North Carolina

ARTS North Carolina calls for equity and access to the arts for all North Carolinians, unifies and connects North Carolina’s arts communities, and fosters arts leadership.

The Black on Black Project

The Black On Black Project curates exhibitions, events and programs aimed at encouraging dialogue between all members of the community. Within the Black On Black Project is the Jo Ann Williams Artist Fellowship, which provides emerging artists access to studio space and other resources.

Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+)

CERF+ was started by artists for artists in the craft community as a grassroot mutual aid focusing on safeguarding artists’ livelihoods nationwide.

Do-It-Yourself Public Art Projects

Raleigh Arts can help you add art to your community through self-funded public art projects by guiding artists and community members through the City of Raleigh permitting process.

Dramatists Guild Foundation

Dramatists Guild Foundation is a national non-profit that fuels the future of American theater by supporting playwrights, composers, lyricists, and book writers at all stages of their careers.

Folk Alliance International

Folk Alliance International (FAI) was founded in 1989 to connect folk music leaders aiming to sustain the community and genre.

Her Story Garden Studios

Her Story Garden Studios inspires Black women to self-define, heal, and liberate through the literary arts. Located on 3.5 acres of rural land with an organic garden that feeds participants.

Neighborhood Art Funds

Neighborhood Art Funds are for community members and groups that are interested in collaborative art projects for Raleigh’s neighborhoods that support artistic and cultural exploration, connection, and understanding.

North Carolina Arts Council

The North Carolina Arts Council is pleased to share all current opportunities for artists that have been submitted to them. This list is updated on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.

Orange County Artist Relief Fund

The Orange County Arts Support Fund strives to support local artists, arts industry workers, and arts organizations facing financial hardship due to COVID-19

Organizing Against Racism

Organizing Against Racism (OAR) is a network of anti-racism groups based in or around the Triangle, North Carolina that host training and events to advance racial equity.

Piedmont Laureate

The Piedmont Laureate program is co-sponsored by the City of Raleigh Arts Commission, Durham Arts Council, Orange County Arts Commission, and United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County. Its primary goal is to promote awareness and heighten appreciation for excellence in the literary arts in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.

Raleigh Arts Artist Calls

Raleigh Arts connects artists with opportunities by coordinating and posting art calls for projects and exhibitions as they become available.

Raleigh Murals Project

The Raleigh Murals Project promotes local artists through the creation of murals of all scales. From small logos to large, building-size artworks, Raleigh Murals Project links artists with business owners throughout the Raleigh area.

Raleigh Music Venue Employee Fund

Owners of five such establishments in downtown Raleigh have banded together to create the Raleigh Music Venue Employee Fund. All of the money will go to the employees rather than the clubs.

Scene on Radio: Seeing White

Scene on Radio (from the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University) is hosted and produced by John Biewen. In Seeing White, Biewen explores the history and meaning of whiteness along with an array of leading scholars and regular guest Dr. Chenjerai Kumanyika.

SEEK Raleigh Program

An experimental public art program by Raleigh Arts, artists can propose public art projects that engage with the community in City of Raleigh parks, greenways, and/or community spaces. Artists may submit up to four proposals per year. The City will provide space and funding.

Snapdragon Fund

A partnership between VAE Raleigh and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Snapdragon Fund has three different funding opportunities to meet the continued needs of the creative community.

United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County Artist Support Grants

Artist Support Grants  fund professional and artistic development for emerging and established artists to create work, improve their business operations, or bring their work to new audiences. Artist Support Grants support a broad range of talented artists in the disciplines of visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and interdisciplinary arts.

Americans for the Arts

Americans for the Arts' mission is to build recognition and support for the extraordinary and dynamic value of the arts and to lead, serve, and advance the diverse networks of organizations and individuals who cultivate the arts in America.

American Rescue Plan Act Arts Recovery Program

Created by the City of Raleigh Arts Commission, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Arts Recovery Program supports local nonprofit arts and cultural organizations by investing $1 million of federal ARPA funds to address issues impacting rebuilding efforts after the COVID-19 Pandemic. Phase 1 of this program, the Venue Reactivation Support Initiative, is accepting applications now through May 26, 2023.

artEquity

artEquity offers training and consulting services to individuals and organizations on creating and sustaining a culture of equity and inclusion through the arts and culture.

Arts Administrators of Color Network

The Arts Administrators of Color Network (AAC) is an arts service network that focuses on networking and community building through the arts. AAC advocates and continues to fight for equity in the arts through collaboration, forums, and outlets that provide a voice for arts administrators and artists of color where there may not be one.

Arts in Education Roundtable New York City

The New York City Arts in Education Roundtable is a service organization and a community of arts education practitioners sharing information, providing professional development, and communicating with the public to promote our work in schools and beyond.

Arts Learning Community for Universal Access

A collaborative program between the City of Raleigh Arts Commission and the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County that brings together like-minded arts and cultural administrators who want to improve how inclusive their organizations are of the Deaf community and people living with disabilities.

Arts Ready

ArtsReady, an online emergency preparedness service by and for arts and cultural nonprofits, provides arts organizations with customized business continuity plans for post-crisis sustainability.

Association of Performing Arts Professionals

The Association of Performing Arts Professionals is the national service, advocacy and membership organization for presenters of the performing arts. APAP is dedicated to developing and supporting a robust performing arts industry and the professionals who work within it.

The Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC) Project

A Black, Indigenous & People of Color movement, the BIPOC Project creates spaces for people of color to work toward building authentic and sustainable solidarity in safe and healing environments. They intentionally reframe the Black/white binary to cultivate anti-racist analysis, knowledge and practice among a wider group of BIPOC as a call to racial justice work.

City of Raleigh Facade Rehabilitation Grant Program

Business owners can qualify for up to $5,000 or up to $10,000 for exterior improvements like lighting, murals, awnings and art if you are in an Economic Development Priority Area or the University Village District.  

Event Safety Alliance

Event Safety Alliance is a non-profit membership-driven organization dedicated to promoting “life safety first” throughout all phases of event production and execution.

HowlRound Theatre Commons

HowlRound is a free and open platform for theatre makers worldwide that amplifies progressive, disruptive ideas about the art form and facilitates a connection between diverse practitioners.

Jandy Ammons Foundation Grants

Grants are available to 501(c)(3) public charities recognized by the IRS. The foundation focuses on specific “shovel ready” standalone projects, including wildlife, conservation or hunting projects, educational projects, artistic installations, Christian church mission endeavors, park settings/community areas, and other organizations and projects uniquely within the scope of the Foundation’s mission.

North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents

North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents (NAPAMA) is a not-for-profit service organization dedicated to promoting the professionalism of its members and the vitality of the performing arts. NAPAMA has created a targeted resources list for agents, managers, and self-represented artists.

North Carolina Center for Nonprofits

North Carolina’s nonprofit sector is a vital leader in building and sustaining equitable and thriving communities. The mission of the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits is to educate, connect, and advocate for North Carolina nonprofits.

Nonprofit Risk Management Center

The Nonprofit Risk Management Center enables nonprofit leaders to identify and manage risks that threaten their missions and operations while empowering them to leverage opportunities and take bold, mission-advancing risks.

Racial Equity Tools is designed to support individuals and groups working to achieve racial equity. This site offers tools, research, tips, curricula, and ideas for people who want to increase their own understanding and to help those working toward justice at every level – in systems, organizations, communities, and the culture at large.

Raleigh Arts Grants

The Arts Grant program funds non-profit arts organizations, known as Raleigh Arts Partners, based on the recommendations of the Raleigh Arts Commission.

Raleigh Murals Project

The Raleigh Murals Project promotes local businesses through the creation of murals. These works of art will help make your location a destination for sightseeing and photo opportunities. Your involvement will help beautify Raleigh, while also helping to promote local artists and your business.

State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education

State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education (SEADAE) comprises those persons at state education agencies whose responsibility is education in the arts (Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts). The arts education community has built a repository of instructional resources for the field.

Theatre Communications Group

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) exists to strengthen, nurture, and promote professional theatre in the U.S. and globally.

Universal Access and the Arts

Universal Access and the Arts creates initiatives to ensure equity, access, and inclusion in all culture programming. The Raleigh Arts Commission and United Arts Council have partnered to offer arts and cultural organizations the opportunity to join the Arts Learning Community for Universal Access. 

World Trust Educational Services

Through film and dialogue, World Trust Educational Services ignites courage and expands its capacity to create a world free from racism. We envision a world coming into wholeness where transformative love and wisdom heal the human family from racism and separation.
