Raleigh Water is proud to announce that its D.E. Benton and E.M. Johnson Water Treatment Plants have been recognized by the North Carolina Division of Water Resources with the prestigious N.C. Area Wide Optimization Award. This award honors water treatment facilities that surpass federal and state drinking water standards, demonstrating exceptional water quality.
Both Raleigh Water treatment plants have also earned the “Gold Star” honor, awarded to facilities that have received the N.C. Area Wide Optimization Award for 10 or more consecutive years. This recognition highlights Raleigh Water's long-standing commitment to providing safe, clean drinking water to the community.
