Raleigh Water Continues Outstanding Service

Celebrating a Raleigh Water win! As of now, all fire hydrants in the City of Raleigh are in service! This is thanks to our dedicated crews, who work long days year-round. Supporting the City every day are thousands of miles of infrastructure—more than 22,000 fire hydrants, over 2,000 miles of water mains, and about 72,000 valves. With all hydrants operational, Raleigh Fire Department crews have confidence they are equipped to deliver crucial fire services during emergencies and crises. We're thankful that there are so many of them. We can’t say it enough: Providing safe, clean water for the entire city and our merger communities is our ultimate goal.
