Transportation Together

New name. Same community focus.

You may remember us as Sidewalk Sessions, but after realizing some residents thought our pop-ups were only about sidewalks (a fair assumption based on the name, honestly!), we decided it was time for something that better reflects the bigger picture.

Welcome to Transportation Together, Raleigh Transportation’s community pop-up initiative designed to meet people where they are. Whether at parks, local businesses, community centers, or neighborhood events, our team brings transportation directly to the community - creating opportunities to ask questions, and connect with staff on all things Raleigh Transportation.

Comprehensive Safety Action Plan

Following detailed analysis and public input on roadway safety, the City of Raleigh has released its Safe Streets for All Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. This plan will prioritize the elimination of roadway crashes resulting in fatalities and severe injuries, with a goal of reaching ZERO fatal and serious injury traffic crashes.

What is Transportation Together?

Transportation Together is a pop-up engagement effort by Raleigh Transportation that brings staff directly into the community—outside of traditional public meetings—to answer questions, share project updates, and hear from residents in a more casual, accessible setting.

Want to see Transportation Together in your community? Invite us! From parks and businesses to neighborhood events, Raleigh Transportation is always looking for new ways to connect with residents where they are. Here’s how to request a pop-up. Email us at: transportationinfo@raleighnc.gov.
