Biothon Overview
Celebrate World Rivers Day with Raleigh Stormwater by finding and documenting aquatic species at Walnut Creek Wetland Park! Wetlands are a critical piece of the water cycle and are vital for keeping rivers and streams healthy, they also provide vital habitat for unique plants and wildlife species!
For the whole week (September 28 - October 3):
- Submit any plant or wildlife species you find in Walnut Creek Wetland Park
- Identify others’ photos or recordings
- Help us grow our public data collection!
Wetland Walk on October 1
Join us in person at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center on October 1 for some community biothon-ing and a wetland walk led by Walnut Creek Park staff!
