New Bern Avenue Lane Closure for Sewer Repairs Near S. Pettigrew Street

A lane closure will be in place in the right turn lane of New Bern Avenue from S. Pettigrew Street to Poole Road near the 1200 block due to a sinkhole and sewer repairs. Work is scheduled to begin around 11 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 9 p.m.
Crews will repair four gravity mains in the area. Traffic will be detoured to turn right onto Sunbury Street. Signs, cones and arrow boards will be in place.
Motorists should expect delays, follow posted signs, use caution and consider alternate routes. The city thanks residents and visitors for their patience during this work.
