Community Engagement Division

Cultivates positive relationships between police and the community

The Community Engagement Division was established in 2025 to increase trust and transparency between the police and our community. Our mission is to engage with the community and build relationships to deepen our understanding of local issues and to develop collaborative strategies that create safer, more connected neighborhoods for everyone.

By building and strengthening relationships with residents, businesses, and organizations, we foster a shared responsibility for public safety. By promoting open dialogue and teamwork, we empower community members and police to identify safety priorities and implement effective solutions.

The Community Engagement Division includes:

Community Liaison

  • Senior Community Engagement Analyst

Community Outreach

Youth and Family Outreach

As Raleigh continues to grow, the Raleigh Police Department remains committed to strengthening trust with the community through transparency, accessibility, and meaningful interactions with the public. RPD is committed to our community and believes that this new division will contribute significantly to the department's overall success in keeping our city safe.
